Whenever I take the Eurostar it feels like living in a lovely alternate future where the UK is a full groovy part of Europe.

I think one of the cool things LLMS/Local coding agents could do is really open up fediverse stuff for regular folks.

Fedi and self hosting is just far out of reach for most people, but lowering that barrier to entry would be awesome.

Really it’d be the point where you could have a competent coding agent running in a device that costs, say, less than £1000.

The urge is rising in my to take a punt on a colour e-ink tablet again… Between Remarkaboox did a tablet with the Gallery eink

God I wish boox did a tablet with the Gallery eink display tech.

Finally on the home assistant hype. Not for a lot of things, but having the hallway lights turn off when i press play on the Apple TV in the evenings is great.

I gotta say, using voice control to write things down on my computer is the most Star Trek I think I’ve ever felt.

God damn it, Tim Berners-Lee’s book “This is for Everyone” is gradually warming my frozen heart.

It’s been a long time since I’ve felt optimistic about the web again.

Gotta say, whatever the React Flow folks are paid they should be paid more.

Every AI Startup and their cousin is using it for the primary interface.

Dystopian thought:

It is only a matter of time before AI notetakers like Fathom/Granola start being used in IRL conversations and eventually non-work IRL conversations.

Hrm I think I’m gonna try setting up Coolify on a raspberry pi before the end of the year.

I want to self host stuff, but I am lazy and want a groovy dev experience. Feel like it should mix well.
